J.C. Jacobsen was a strong believer in the power of science. In 1876, he established the Carlsberg Research Laboratory and brought together some of the greatest scientist of the time.

Today, Carlsberg Research Laboratory’s interdisciplinary teams with expertise in brewing science, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, bioinformatics and molecular biology work together to further perfect the art of brewing.
